If you have a ppi complaint and have not yet started a claim the question has to be why not? There are currently millions of missold policies out there but no-one is laying claim to them. Unless you make a point of looking at your mortgage, loans or credit cards paperwork over the last 6 years you will never know if you have a ppi complaint. Over the past year millions of pounds of compensation have been paid out to people who with a little effort have discovered that they have a ppi complaint. So, what are you waiting for, this weekend make a point of discovering if you were mssold ppi. Once you have ascertained that you have a ppi complaint you can either make a case yourself or go to one of the many claims management companies who will act on your behalf. If you choose the latter make sure they are registered by the Ministry of Justice and find out the fee they will charge. The majority of claims companies work on a no win no fee basis with fees varying across the board. As a guide you should not need to pay more than 20% as a fee for a good company. All the hard work will be done for you but remember you first need to know if you have a ppi complaint. Happy hunting. With the recession starting to bite more and more people are trying to find ways of generating extra income. There are various opportunities such as party plans and taking an extra job to create revenue. There are also companies springing up all over the place to buy old mobile phones and will pay anything from £25 to £200 for your old handset. Another area that is proving extremely popular is to trade in unwanted or broken jewellery for cash. With gold prices going through the roof now is one of the best times ever to trade unwanted jewellery into cash. Old wedding rings, bracelets and necklaces are exchanging hands for hundreds of pounds. These are all ideal ways to make ends meet and put cash back into your pockets. However, there is another way that could provide income way beyond what an old mobile phone or broken bracelet could produce. It’s also a way of getting back money that should never have been taken from you in the first place. It was money taken for an insurance that in many instances was something that you didn’t want, didn’t ask for or need and in some instances don’t even know you have! The insurance is called payment protection or PPI and is something that an awful lot of lenders would add on when people were taking out credit. This could be in the form of a loan, mortgage, store card or credit card and could amount to thousands of pounds of premiums added on to your loan. Now really is the time to look at all those credit agreements that you have taken out over the last six years and see if this overpriced insurance was added to your credit agreement. Even if you knowingly took out this insurance there could be grounds to make a ppi complaint and get back your premiums and associated interest. If you felt pressured into taking the insurance or thought it was mandatory to get the loan then this is a reason to make a ppi complaint. If you were self employed, unemployed or maybe close to retirement age, all reasons to justify a ppi complaint. Over the past year there have been literally thousands of people making a ppi complaint and claiming back thousands of pounds in compensation. So the next time you are hunting around in drawers looking for discarded jewellery spare a couple of minutes and have a look at your old or existing credit agreements. You could be very pleasantly surprised. Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments » Potential PPI Claims Hidden In Kitchen Drawers11/12/2009 by Bradders.

With the credit crunch upon us and everything being squeezed now seems to be the time when everybody is looking to make cutbacks. That’s everyone apart from the major banks who are still insisting that they need to pay out mega bonuses to keep their masters of the universe in the lifestyle they have become accustomed to. For the rest of us we need to cut the cloth accordingly and if that means a couple of pints less down the local or to forego a holiday then that’s the way life is. You only have to look at the adverts in the papers to see the amount of deals that are happening in the local supermarkets or the electrical retailers. Charity shops, pound stores and the ever increasing cash for gold outlets make you realise that all is not well in the economy. Unfortunately belt tightening is here to stay for the foreseeable future but there s a possibility to get back money that should never have been taken in the first place. We are talking about payment protection insurance that little add on that lenders had a tendency to apply when dishing out credit. It has been estimated that there are several million people who have a ppi complaint out there who should be trying to get their hard earned cash back. It’s only really been in the last year to 18 months that people have woken up to the fact that they have been duped and are entitled to make a ppi complaint and potentially get back thousands of pounds of premiums that they have paid. Anyone who has taken out any form of credit agreement over the last six years (and that includes credit cards) should check their credit agreements to see if payment protection has been applied. If this is the case they could well have a justifiable ppi complaint and therefore entitled to compensation. If they still have the paperwork appertaining to the credit agreement it may be possible to go back even further than six years. So, whilst it’s important to shop around for the cheapest prices or hunt in drawers for discarded jewellery spare a little time in looking at your credit agreements. Who knows you may be pleasantly surprised with a potential windfall that could amount to £1000’s! Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »
